The Burrel Collection
This project is one of the wildest we’ve been involved with! We were approached by ISO design to help with a hybrid interactives project as part of the museum refurbishment. We made various items to house screens and provide interactive exhibits for users. The main element was creating seating referencing one of the exhibits and tables to match, housing screens and buttons etc. The seats were made in GRP for extreme durability but were designed to replicate the soft upholstery and intricate carvings of the original. We went to town and created the full detailing including ‘gimp braid’ and carved dogs heads! Another element involved creating a miserichord replica for people to try, complete with a carved dragon and an internal audio sound effect. The third main piece involved 2 rotating plates onto which were projected rotating visuals to represent the pattern making in pottery production. This was a total blast as well as a massive challenge! and certainly not a run of the mill project
